Fitbit to Apple Health sync apps compared (iPhone, November 2026)
Updated 1 November 2026. Written by Minima Apps Ltd, the makers of Tandeo, so we are not neutral. We have tried to stick to facts from App Store listings and to be fair to every app here.
If you want a Fitbit Apple Health sync app for iPhone, the useful differences are the direction of sync, whether the app signs in with Google Health, and how you pay. This page compares a handful of apps on those points, with Tandeo as one option among them. Fitbit data now lives in Google Health, so an app has to use the Google Health API to keep working.
Everything about other apps below is as of November 2026, taken from their App Store listings and release notes at the time of our research. Listings, prices and features change often, so check each current App Store listing before you download or pay.
What should you compare in a Fitbit to Apple Health sync app?
- Direction. Some apps only copy Fitbit or Google Health data into Apple Health. Others write Apple Health data back the other way, and a few do both.
- Google Health sign-in. The old Fitbit web API was turned off on 2 November 2026 (an app's own release notes may give a slightly different date, so check). An app that still depends on it will not work. Look for a listing or release notes that mention Google Health.
- Pricing model. Free, subscription, one-time purchase, or a mix.
- Free tier. What you can do without paying, and whether you can try the paid parts first.
We have left out anything our research could not confirm, such as whether a given app syncs on the device or through its own servers. If that matters to you, read the app's privacy information on its listing.
How do the apps compare?
The table covers six listings we looked at, plus Tandeo. Prices are the US App Store figures we saw, and several apps list more than one price tier over time, so treat them as a guide only.
| App | Direction | Google Health sign-in | Pricing model | Free tier |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fitbit to Apple Health Sync (Bickster LLC) | Fitbit to Apple Health | Yes: the listing offers "Login with Google" and says existing users log in again | Free tier plus subscriptions and a lifetime option, with weekly, monthly, yearly and lifetime plans | Daily steps and sleep |
| Fitbit Sync To Apple Health (MPR MEDIA INC) | Fitbit to Apple Health | Yes: the listing says "Google Health (formerly Fitbit)" | Free tier plus monthly, annual and lifetime options; a 3-day trial is listed | Steps |
| Power Sync: Fitness to Health (HDIDI LTD) | Fitbit to Apple Health | Yes: release notes say version 29 adds Google Health sign-in | Free tier plus weekly, monthly, yearly and lifetime options | Steps only |
| Power Sync for Fitbit (Touchberry Inc) | Fitbit to Apple Health | Not mentioned in the listing we reviewed (last updated May 2026); check the current listing | Free sync, with auto-sync as an in-app purchase: monthly, yearly or lifetime | Sync is free; auto-sync is paid |
| Health Sync (appyhapps) | Both ways, across many platforms including Apple Health and Google Health (Fitbit) | Yes: the listing includes Google Health (Fitbit) | One-week free trial, then a one-time lifetime licence (listed at $3.99) | Trial rather than a free tier |
| Fitbit Sync From Apple Health (Bickster LLC) | Apple Health to Fitbit, five data fields | No mention of Google Health in the notes we reviewed; check the current listing | Free tier plus subscriptions and a lifetime option | Free tier available |
| Tandeo (Minima Apps) | Both ways between Google Health and Apple Health | Yes, built on the Google Health API; you sign in with a Google account | Free, Pro ($2.99 a month, $14.99 a year with a 1-week free trial on the yearly plan) or Lifetime ($29.99 one-time) | Steps and sleep, Google Health to Apple Health, manual sync |
This is not a full list. There are other Fitbit sync apps on the App Store, and new ones appear regularly. We have also not rated or ranked these apps: the star ratings on each listing are one input, but they say little about whether an app suits your set-up.
Which apps copy data from Apple Health back to Fitbit or Google Health?
Most apps in this space only go one way, from Fitbit into Apple Health. Of the apps above, Health Sync by appyhapps and Tandeo list both directions, and Bickster's separate Fitbit Sync From Apple Health app is built for the reverse direction. That older app's notes we reviewed do not mention Google Health, so check whether it works for you now.
Whatever app you pick, Google Health limits what can go back. Tandeo can write only weight, body fat, workouts and sleep from Apple Health to Google Health, because Google Health does not accept steps or heart rate from other apps. If you need those, no app can add them from outside. Our guide to sending Apple Health data to Fitbit covers this in more detail.
Where does Tandeo fall short?
We would rather you know before you choose us.
- It is new. Tandeo does not have the track record or the long history of reviews that some of the apps above do.
- The App Store listing is coming soon. It is not live yet, so you cannot download it today. Treat this page as a comparison to bookmark, not a link to install.
- Apple Health to Google Health covers only four data types: weight, body fat, workouts and sleep. Google Health does not accept steps or heart rate from other apps.
- Background sync is up to iOS. The system decides when background work runs, so automatic syncs can be delayed. Syncing manually always works.
- It is not free forever. The free tier covers steps and sleep from Google Health to Apple Health with manual sync. Background auto-sync and the other data types need Pro or Lifetime. See Tandeo pricing for the current plans.
On the other side, Tandeo runs on your iPhone or iPad, needs no Tandeo account, and has no developer servers receiving your health data. Read the privacy policy for exactly what the app does, including optional anonymous analytics you can turn off.
How do I choose a Fitbit to Apple Health sync app?
- Decide which direction you need. If you only want Fitbit steps and sleep in Apple Health, a one-way app may be enough. If you also want weight, workouts or sleep going back to Google Health, shortlist the apps that list both directions.
- Check that it supports Google Health. Open the App Store listing and its latest release notes. If neither mentions Google Health, assume it may not work and look for a recent update. Our guide on what to do when Fitbit stops syncing with Apple Health explains the change.
- Look at how you will pay. If you want to pay once, look for a lifetime or one-time option. If you only need a few weeks of syncing, a subscription or trial may cost less. Read the price list on the listing carefully, because some apps list several plans.
- Try the free tier first. Confirm the data you care about is included before paying. Several apps limit the free tier to steps.
- Match the data to your needs. Check the listing for the data types you want, such as heart rate variability or blood oxygen, rather than assuming.
- Read the privacy details. If where your health data goes matters to you, read the privacy section of each app's listing and policy.
- Remember iOS limits. No app can promise exact background timing. Be wary of anyone who does.
If you are still deciding how the whole thing works, start with how to sync Fitbit to Apple Health, or read how Google Health and Apple Health fit together.
Do I need a sync app at all?
As far as we know, neither the Fitbit or Google Health app nor Apple Health copies data across by itself. Check the current Fitbit or Google Health app in case that changes. If you only occasionally want a number from one app in the other, you may not need a sync app. If you want your data in one place, you do.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best Fitbit Apple Health sync app?
It depends on what you need, so we do not name a single best app. Compare the direction of sync, whether the app signs in with Google Health, how you pay and what the free tier covers, then check the current App Store listing. Tandeo is one option, made by us at Minima Apps, and its App Store listing is coming soon.
Do Fitbit sync apps still work after the Google Health change?
Only if they were rebuilt on the Google Health API. The old Fitbit web API was turned off on 2 November 2026, and you usually have to sign in again with your Google account. Check the app's listing and release notes for a mention of Google Health, as of November 2026 and again when you read this.
Can I sync Apple Health data back to Fitbit?
Some apps can. Of those we looked at, Health Sync by appyhapps and Tandeo list both directions, and Bickster has a separate app for Apple Health to Fitbit. Google Health limits what it accepts: Tandeo can write only weight, body fat, workouts and sleep, not steps or heart rate.
Are there free Fitbit to Apple Health sync apps?
Many offer a free tier, often limited to steps or to steps and sleep, with paid upgrades for more. Tandeo's free tier covers steps and sleep from Google Health to Apple Health with manual sync. Check each current listing for exactly what is free.
Why can an app not sync in the background exactly when I want?
iOS decides when background work runs, based on factors such as battery and connectivity. Any sync app can be delayed, and none can promise exact timing. Opening the app and syncing manually is the reliable way to get up to date.
Is Tandeo available on the App Store?
Not yet. The App Store listing is coming soon, so do not expect to find it today. When it is live, this page and the Tandeo home page will say so.
